She was my midwife and I seriously felt like she was an older sister I never had, very kind and all in all a calming presence. My birth was long with off and on contractions before active labor started and she was patient and always on top of things. She did all the services she offered, except for the massage because I didn’t have time. During labor it’s hard for me to speak or to be spoken to because of the intensity of the event but when she came to my house and helped me out of the shower her calming personality made it very easy. The aftercare was great as well, she helped me with the postpartum healing part. I felt safe with her around because she advocated for me, when I needed it, because I was very vulnerable to advocate for myself, she was just wonderful.
